Maruti Suzuki started the Dakshin Dare rally to strengthen its foothold in motorsport in South India. Little did anyone anticipate its intense engagement with its audience. Held in June against the backdrop of the magical monsoons of the region, Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare Rally takes the competitors through a unique combination of terrain comprising of the plains of Tamil Nadu, the Deccan Plateau, the Nilgiris and the Western Ghats before concluding at Bangalore. A unique learning experience for both the car and the participant, its tests the capability of the vehicle to endure the rugged terrains and brings the ultimate joy of rallying to the owners.
In the blink of an eye, the Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare has reached its 5th threshold and is all set to create new milestones in the motorsport arena. Starting from Orion mall in Bangalore, the rally would trace the course along heavenly abodes of Chimagalur, Sakleshpur, Mysore and many more on Day-1 and then moving on to the rougher terrains of the Coorg region while progressing gradually towards Ooty. Going forward from Ooty, the rally would cross the “Princess of Hill Stations”, Kodaikanal and then forge a way forward to Coimbatore. Proceeding to Munnar from there and then returning to Coimbatore, the Rally will then trace its way back to Bangalore via the charming Dindigul.
While the experience of rallying through the terrain has no comparison, the 5th Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare has a lot more to offer not only to the participants but also to its audience.
